rolling out the dough
cutting out the cookies...we only had christmas tree and star cookie cutters
getting them ready to bake
you can't make christmas cookies without eating some of the dough!!
making the icing
decorating our cookies
we made 5 big christmas tree cookies...1 for each roommate
and lots of little ones! aren't they pretty?! they were all decorated using dyed icing, decorating icing tubes, and valentines day sprinkles! (we are poor college students, we use what we have!)
they were tasty too!!!
*NOTE* All of the pictures with both of us in them were taken using a timer. We got very inventive on how to prop up the camera in our kitchen, for example, this last picture was taken by placing the camera on the open refrigerator door!

was that the famous "Shomo" butter cookie recipe? That is the tradition I have kept from my youth till now. They make the best cookie dough in the whole world!! Your decorations are beautiful!!! What did you use for icing?
Those cookies look delicious!!!
When you get home will you make us some??
You look like you had a fun time making the cookies and decorating them.
Looking forward to seeing you in 5 days!!!

Love the roomie cookies!! I didn't know you could still make dough from scratch.. I thought you just bought the roll stuff and the ready made icing.

Mmm...those look good! I really need to make some of those also.
p.s. We've gotten pretty good with using the timer on our camera also. We took a picture of us getting a tree and set the camera on another tree to take it!
